I got my Vacation approved, so I will be visiting Toronto in the beginning of March.
Annndddd I'm (mostly) off night shifts. My Boss reflected upon my adventure on Monday, and decided she didn't want me to work nights any more unless she knows I have a ride. I do have one night, because no one else can work it. So she wants me to ask if someone can give me a ride on Feb 21st. :D
Its peanut butter jelly time! Peanut butter jelly time!
(munches on sandwich)
Servers keep dieing at work today. I'm tired and hungry.
also, I have a raspberry soda. It's yummy!
Bad: starting to feel like you are coming down with a cold the day before a 3 day holiday weekend
Less bad bordering on good: wanting soup really bad and having the cafe at work have your favourite (mmmm spicy tomato bisque!)
LJ, I'm having a bad day, Can I have a hug please?
EDIT: Hmm great. now the power went out and we are on generator. Just what I needed....
starting Dec 4th, the Library will be taking applications for Library Aides. $11ish per hour, 8-12 hours a week, shelving books and reading shelves. flexible scheduling and all that nifty stuff that students like.
If you want linkage once it's up, gimme a poke.
Dear beloved Library patrons,
Do I have "Reference Librarian" or "Accounts Clerk" tattooed on my forehead?
Why, oh why, when there are 3-4 people actually waiting to help you, must you stop the girl with the cart piled with computers to ask "Can you renew my book for me?" or "Do you know where I can find books on Monet?"
I get tired of saying "Please ask the librarian at the desk."
Your friendly library computer repair geek
I wonder if a shirt saying "No, I can't help you find that book!" would get me in trouble...
I got a .64 p/h raise. Woohoo
It is the little things that make life nice...
Today, The Big Boss called me and asked me to come to his office sometime because he needed to talk to me. This seemed ominious... however, he just wanted to personally thank me for my kickass take-charge when a key server went down last week. "I love it when I go to tell someone to do something when a server goes down, and they have already done it!" and proceeded to preen about how I have better emergency responce/intuition/togetherness than some of the people that have been here 15 years...
Yay! I am awesome!
Also today, I went to go pick up a refill at the pharmacy I'd called in yesterday, and when I walked up, the girl said "Hey (name), Your refill will be ready in just a sec!". While this could be a bad sign that I'm there way too often, I'll take it as meaning I'm a (nicely) memorable customer :)
It must be a slow crime day today. I just saw someone actually get stopped and ticketed for jaywalking against a light about 2 feet out of a crosswalk.
Except for here we had some kid, annoyed that a mouse wasn't working, punched a monitor and broke the screen :P
Someone else is taking summer classes, so they need someone to cover days, so I'm on days only for the rest of summer! this wednesday is my last evening shift for 2 months! :)
